This semi-abstract intaglio print suggests a Scandinavian fishing village. Printed in multiple colors, it employs a variety of intaglio printing techniques, including crisp drypoint lines and subtly modulated aquatint tones. The print appears to be in its original frame with the original burlap fabric mat. The original cardboard backing has been replaced with acid-free foam core and the front surface is protected by a new sheet of plexiglass. The print is signed in pencil and numbered “19/50.” We are not able to make out the signature or title. The frame measures 35” x 29”; the image measures 26” by 19-3/8”. The frame, mat and print are all in excellent condition. The print does not show signs of toning and retains its original vibrant colors.
