This bold op art print was created by Park Hill Graphics for the for the Moreddi division of Raymor/Richards Morganthau, Inc . Joined in 1978, Moreddi and Raymor/Richards are two of the most storied companies in the history of modern design in America. Moreddi was a California-based importer/distributor and one of the first companies to import Danish Modern furniture into the United States. Raymor/Richards is most famously associated with the iconic modernist ceramics of Russell Wright. The company enjoyed a long, successful life as importers of European furniture, ceramics and glass. The combined Raymor/Moreddi company was short-lived, dating this print to the early 1980’s at the latest. The print’s brushed aluminum frame measures 24-1/2” square, with the opening in the mat measuring 16”. The image is a classic op art pattern in highly saturated primary and secondary colors. The image, mat and plexiglass are in excellent condition. The frame is in very good condition, with a few minor scuffs consistent with its age.
