A rare find as an identical pair”,” these “moon” lamps date from 1980-90’s and were produced by KARE Design”,” GmbH. They stand 15-1/2” high and consist of a chromed metal base and 12” diameter frame”,” which encircles a spiral plastic shade. The shade can be positioned in infinitely many captivating geometric shapes”,” including those reminiscent of the moon in its various stages. Both are in excellent vintage condition”,” with no visible dents”,” nicks or defects. Each lamp has an approximately 60” cord and is actuated by a cord-mounted switch near the lamp base. The lamps are inspired by earlier work by designers including Henri Mathieu”,” Verner Panton”,” and Hans Agne Jakobsson.
