Nothing says vintage picnic equipment like these classic Raffiaware picnic mugs. The cup interiors are rendered in a range of colors out of the melamine material popular through the 1960s. The outside clear material, possibly lucite, protects a layer of coarsely woven raffia material. Beautifully preserved, this set of eight includes two each of peach, pink, chocolate and yellow mugs. All are in excellent condition for their age, with no cracks and minimal scuffing to the bases. They measure approximately 3–3/4 ‘’ in diameter at the widest point by 3-3/4″ high. A note on condition: the capitol letter “A” is scratched into the bottom surface of each mug, we assume to identify the owner (see photo). We reflect this in the price, keeping in mind their otherwise exceptional condition.
