This exquisite art glass unicorn is signed by the artist Stuart Abelman and dated 1984. The body of the unicorn is made of a lovely aqua-blue glass with a surface treatment that ranges from a frosted sheen to clear polished appearance at the tip of the nose. Pulled feather designs in white and iridescent gold echo the form of the shoulders and neck, while a spirals in white decorate the horn. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or other defects. It measures 6-3/4″ tall by 7-1/2″ wide (to the tip of the horn) by 1-1/2″ deep.

Since the 1970’s, following intensive academic study at Carnegie Mellon University and UCLA , Stuart Abelman has produced some of the world’s most technically accomplished, aesthetically appealing and collectible works of art glass.
