Exquisite art glass unicorn signed by Stuart Abelman, and dated 1980. This piece appears to be in perfect vintage condition with no chips or other imperfections. The predominant glass color appears black under normal lighting conditions but reveals a beautiful amethyst hue when backlit. Pulled iridescent blue and white designs complement the overall form of the unicorn’s shoulders and neck, while spirals of iridescent blue adorn the contrastingly delicate horn. The piece measures 5-1/2″ tall by 6-3/4” wide (to the tip of the horn) by 2-1/8” deep.

Since the 1970’s, following intensive academic study at Carnegie Mellon University and UCLA , Stuart Abelman has produced some of the world’s most technically accomplished, aesthetically appealing and collectible works of art glass.
